from @alterd_mind - "This is just SOME of the endangered and critically endangered species in Australia.
The Australian government is doing almost nothing to save these species in fact the PM just had our country removed from a UN report stating the effect each country has on its environment.
This is pathetic, the animals and environments of the world are dying and the people who could save them don't care at all, instead they would rather fill their pockets by allowing mines into protected areas, coal seam gas to pour out into rivers, and kill protected species to allow for housing development areas.
If we don't act now there will be no animals left for our children and our children's children to watch and learn from. Instead they will turn up in archeological digs.
All the government needs to do to have an enormous amount of funds to help save the environment is to tax the super rich, and companies who currently pay no/or very little tax."
