Kookaburra | Kooka rescue

re this kookaburra - I rescued him/her from neighbor's front yard. As I was asleep, they rang the doorbell, I just heard it, got up, seen them walking back to their property and went next door, they were on the phone to RSPCA. So they hung up. Good, moving on... ;( Kooka is now with local vet. Has an injury on left hand side top wing. Has had an x-ray and I will find out today the issue.
Possibly attacked by the other two Kookaburras seen across the road on power lines or hit by a car.
My backyard and the street is its territory. However, due to the lady down the road, on a corner and front yard, who feeds the native birds and introduced pigeons, who are the ones overtaking native pigeons, five Kookaburras are now in our street.
By the way, due to this lady feeding the birds, Lorikeets, Galahs, pigeons, Kookaburras, Sulphur crested cockatoos, the possums, a kangaroo and wallaby, who I see there at night, this could be the fifth bird I have had to rescue (if hit by a car). The other four birds were hit by cars, neighbours found them and brought them to me. Two died in my hand and the other two were euthanased. Broken wings and head trauma. I also found a pigeon at night, sitting in the middle of the road not able to fly away, so full of seed it had coughed up the seed. I took it into care and was later released.
The front yard and half the road can be covered in birds. Cars enter around the corner into the street and have to pull up quick.
Local council Redland City Council was advised of this issue 2yrs ago.
